I Just Came in Here to Get Drunk

I was sitting in the bar again the other night on my favorite stool
Drowning memories of a man who made me feel like a fool
When speaking of fools this guy sits down on the bar stool next to me
As I turned to look, he smiled and asked, “You want some company?”
Well, I smiled back cause I’m made that way but I turned back to my glass
I took a big drink and wondered why I always get the horse’s ass
He started talking and I started walking to the other side of the bar
He began to follow I said I think you ought to just stay right where you are
I don’t want any company, you might as well let me be
Men like you are a dime a dozen, I just got rid of one because he was a
Using them same lines, and I lose every time
No, I don’t want to hear that junk
I Just Came in Here to Get Drunk
Well, that turned the boy around, he went off to play some darts
I bellied up to the bar seriously thinking about broken hearts
Next thing I know some guys in my face getting between me and my beer
As I got up to move again, I said let me make this perfectly clear
Pity this poor drinking girl, I ain’t looking for a hunk
Go fishing somewhere else with that line, I just came in here to get drunk
Well, some time passed and I was getting high, when into the bar
Walked the reason why I was sitting in a honkey-tonk all by myself
He came up and put his arm around me but instead of seeing one I was seeing three
And I almost listened when he offered to take me home, but I said
I don’t want any company, you might as well let me be
Men like you are a dime a dozen, I just got rid of one because he was a
Using them same lines, and I lose every time
No, I don’t want to hear that junk
I Just Came in Here to Get Drunk
I don’t want any company, you might as well let me be
Men like you are a dime a dozen, I just got rid of one because he was a
Using them same lines, and I lose every time
No, I don’t want to hear that junk
I Just Came in Here to Get Drunk
No, I don’t want to hear that junk
I Just Came in Here to Get Drunk
