About “Worth Giving”
This song was written on May 13, 1998. I remember when I wrote this song and how I wanted to
write a love song that would mean something to the man I love.
This song had been forgotten and was only found this year when I was looking for material for
the first and second CDs. It was a fun find because I immediately remembered the song and
decided then and there to include it on the first CD, Worth Giving. It is the title track and reveals a truth about me that I might not have recognized before: “Without your love for me there could never be any part of me worth giving.”
This has always been true. I need to be loved to feel value as a person. There have been times
in my life when I didn’t have a loving relationship to support me and those were hard times to get through. But it all turned out well and I know what the power of love can do.
