About “He’s My Man”
This song is about my husband, my official partner since August 1983. He is truly
my better half; steadfast, generous, and always here for me. I wrote this song as
a way to express how much he means to me and how deeply I care for him. It is
a celebration of enduring love and lasting respect. Our marriage is a blessing we
never take for granted. We work every day to make life better for each other, in
small ways and large ones, and in everything in between.
We’ve lived together since January 1980. Over the years, we built a cabin, raised
two beautiful children, and supported each other’s dreams and goals. We’ve
since welcomed three grandchildren into our lives. It has been a full and
wonderful journey. Now, as septuagenarians, we care for each other more
deeply than ever. My hope is that everyone finds a love like this in their lifetime.

He’s so fine, he’s all I think about
He’s My Man
I’m so glad he’s mine, I want to shout
He’s My Man
He can be kind, he can make love
And he can find reason enough
To stay here with me, and he knows he’s free
He’s My Man
He ain’t perfect, but he’s close enough
He’s big and tall, not too tough
But he’s strong enough to
Hold onto me
He can be kind, he can make love
And he can find reason enough
To stay here with me, and he knows he’s free
He’s My Man
Sometimes it’s hard to get through to him
Just exactly what I need him to do
But he tries so hard to understand me
I know his love is true
He’s so fine, he’s all I think about
He’s My Man
I’m so glad he’s mine, I want to shout
He’s My Man
He can be kind, he can make love
And he can find reason enough
To stay here with me, and he knows he’s free
He’s My Man, He’s My Man
He’s My Man
